Free cash flow isn’t a topic that excites the average corporate employee. Nonetheless, it was an important aspect of Thomson Reuters’ plan to develop financial acumen across the organization.
The company sought Fredrickson’s help in creating a short eLearning course with a two-fold mission:
- Teach the basics of free cash flow.
- Motivate employees to make positive contributions to the company’s cash flow position.
The resulting 15-minute course uses narration, animation, interactive examples, and a personalized My Cash Management Plan to achieve the client’s objectives. Two years after its launch, the course remains in active use. One executive who reviewed the course called it “one of the very best online learning experiences I’ve seen,” and remarked that “after getting into the first page or two I was so engaged and interested…and learned many good nuggets about free cash flow!”
