We have conducted usability testing of leading Learning Management Systems (Saba and SumTotal) for two Fortune 150 companies in the Minneapolis area. Our testing focused specifically on the user’s experience of navigating and searching the LMS to find various learning resources. We showed how testers actually looked for resources (vs. how learning managers thought they did) and the obstacles they encountered as they used the systems. We also provided extensive recommendations for improvement that our clients shared with the LMS vendors.
