Summary

The Property Service Department (PSD) of Hennepin County’s Workplace Safety & Environmental Division wanted to replace their county-wide employee classroom training curriculum with a series of eLearning courses. The PSD asked Fredrickson to develop the initial course and to prepare the Department’s staff to develop future courses on their own.

To help the PSD achieve its goals, Fredrickson:

• Helped them select an appropriate eLearning development tool.
• Developed a New Employee Safety course. Our roles included supplying voice talent, recording and producing audio, developing the course in Articulate Studio, and developing custom Flash interactions.
• Integrated the course with Hennepin County’s Learning Management System (LMS).
• Coached and consulted with PSD staff on designing courses, writing online content and narration, and developing courses using Articulate Studio.

Since the launch of the New Employee Safety course, Fredrickson Communications has continued providing eLearning development services to the Department on an as-needed basis.
